Get your crap together!
Add about a tablespoon of kefir grains.
Get clean raw milk or good organic, preferably grass-fed milk that has a cream top (non-homogenized).
Pour milk in a 2-3 cup mason jar.
Let sit at room temp for 24 hours (give or take a few). Shake it is as often as you think of it. A couple times per day is good.
When separation occurs, it is definitely time to strain it for drinking! Shake once more and...
Pour the milk through a mesh strainer.
Stir/scrape until the grains are visible. Scoop out the grains, and repeat the whole process again.
