How to make indian lamb burgers #healthyeating

Brilliant served as part as an Indian BBQ or simply as a twist on a beef burger. Enjoy!

Like my chicken tikka recipe these can be cooked in a pan, under the grill or on the BBQ. The India spices work really well with the lamb.

Start by grating about 2cm of ginger into a bowl

Add 1tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp ground coriander, 1tsp ground cumin, 1tsp cumin seeds (slightly crushed). Optional add 1/2 tsp chilli powder or a pinch of dried chilli flakes.

Add one egg and 1 tbsp yoghurt and 400g minced lamb. Optional: adding 1tbsp of finely chopped mint is good.

Form into patties. The can also be made into kebabs by forming the meat around a skewer in a kebab shape. You can make them in advance, cover and refrigerate for a few hours or cook straightaway

I cooked them on the BBQ but they could be cooked on a griddle pan, under the grill (broiler) or in a frying pan. Just make sure they are nice and brown on each side and cooked in the middle
