INGREDIENTS
Start with 2 sticks softened butter. And cream in 1 cup each: white sugar and brown sugar
Add two eggs and 2 tsp vanilla
I let that cream for about 5 minutes. Then add: 2 cups flour, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp baking soda
Next the Dutch cocoa. Add 2/3 cup When you start your mixer, be careful and pulse off/on till it gets incorporated. Otherwise you'll have more thrown out, then left in
Just mix till it all comes together
Next add your chocolate chips. I love the seasonal ones for spring but normally I use chocolate chunk and white chocolate. I use two bags
Add your chips and pulse just to blend
Large scoops. And leave a lot of room between cookies bc they get very large. Bake at 350° for about 13 minutes
Be sure to keep an eye on these you don't want to over bake! They're so dark it's hard to tell when they are done. I start checking at about 12 min and by 15 it's usually too done
Place on cooling rack
Then with one cookie, cut in half. Use your favorite ice cream (strawberry is wonderful with these kind!) but I went w vanilla bean
