Get out your ingredients.
Sift in 2 cups flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, and 1 tsp. salt.
Stir in the oil, then with your hands, kneed in the water until it forms a ball. I only used about 3/4 cup water.
Flour a hard clean surface.
Make small balls about the size of an egg.
Place on the floured surface.
Roll out. I don't have a rolling pin, so I used an old wine bottle. It works great!
Place the rolled out dough in a hot cast iron pan. Let it cook for about 15-20 seconds on each side.
It's that easy!
I made black bean and corn tacos with the homemade tortillas. They were delicious!!
- 2.0c Flour
- 1.0c Warm water
- 2.0Tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1.0tsp Baking powder
- 1.0tsp Salt
