How to make homemade sugar scrub

I found this recipe on Pinterest and while I'd like to acknowledge them I can't find my link now. 😳 Either way, whoever you are, thank you!

You should stick to plain white table sugar. I found that the demerara sugar didn't dissolve well. With the table sugar you get a good scrub that dissolves beautifully.

You can also use any citrus you want. Just make sure you like the scent. It does have to be citrus though. The guide said it helps with a type of light peel? I just know it feels and smells good!

I microwaved the coconut oil for 30 seconds just to make it easier to mix. ✅1/2 cup

This is my lemon juice. Yes it is frozen. Yes, it is also awesome! ✅3 tablespoons

Thank you Diana for this pointer! I buy lemons and limes in bulk now and freeze them in trays before I transfer to a freezer bag. Limes are pricey in the winter!

Mix in the sugar. This is the only reason I melted the coconut oil. Much easier! ✅1 1/4 cup

I made this to exfoliate my legs before I shave and wow does it work! Best use? Hot bath or shower for at least 5 minutes then scrub then shave. 🎶Perfect🎶

Hubby has sensitive skin but being in the Army it isn't like he can just forgo shaving. He's gone through so many different brands of shaving cream/balm/soap. Nothing worked until this!

In case you catch yourself trying to be cute and put this in a glass jar, don't. It makes the container crazy slick and dodging shattered glass when naked and soapy isn't fun. 😳 Don't ask.

Tip: Hubby wanted it a bit grittier so I've increased the sugar to 1 1/2 cups. It works for him.

Tip: you may consider storing it in smaller containers. No matter how hard you try to flick the water off your hands, it's gonna run into the container and dilute it. I split it into 2 jars.
