Gather together all of your ingredients.
First boil 4 quarts of water; also add a little salt to the water to keep the pasta from sticking together.
Then pour 1 box of elbow macaroni into the boiling water and boil for around 7 minutes.
After the pasta is cooked, use the strainer to drain the pasta of water.
While the pasta is draining, place 1 stick of butter into the hot cooking pot.
Once the butter melts, pour the pasta back into the cooking pot with the butter.
Then slowly add 2 cups of cheese to the pasta while on medium heat.
Next add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and 1/2 cup of milk as needed, for your preferred consistency.
Stir completely until of the ingredients are fully melted and mixed together.
Lastly add salt and pepper to taste. Then grab a spoon and dig in!
