Put some water on the stove to boil and add some salt to the water. It should be pretty salty. c:
Scrub your potatoes.
Cut them about a half an inch thick.
Fill a bowl with some ice water.
Blanch your potatoes in the boiling saltwater.
After 1-2 minutes put your fries into the ice water until cool.
Put them onto some paper towels and let them air-dry, or you can pat them dry with a paper towel.
Fill a saucepan about 2 inches with oil and bring to a boil, then add your fries.
Take them out when golden brown and enjoy! *for extra crispy fries you can boil them in oil twice, once until just barely yellow and wait for them to dry then again until golden brown.
