How to make home made biscuits (the easy way)

I know store bought is easier and very good but when you are snowed in and don't have any this will do 😉

Blend flour and shortening till it looks like coarse crumbs

Add milk to flour mixture and stir

Sprinkle enough flour on top of dough because it is sticky! (so you can handle it).    Scoop out enough to make a biscuit, form in hand and put on greased cookie sheet

Coat a little oil in top of biscuits and put in oven at 450 for 15 minutes or longer if they aren't brown enough.

  • 2.0c Self Rising Flour
  • 1/2c Shortening
  • 1.0c Milk
