Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Start with crayons. Peel them. It's ok to look dubious, as this little gal does.
It takes a while to peel them.
But it is satisfying when you get a bunch. Hooray for progress!
So many pretty colors!
Break them into small pieces and add to your mold.
Here is a much easier way to remove the paper....put crayons in a glass pie dish...
Pour hot water over them. (But NOT BOILING WATER...they will melt!) the wrappers will peel right off!
Place in a 250 degree oven, on a cookie sheet, for 20 minutes.
Let them cool until they are hard.
Tada! And these aren't just pretty, but fun to color with! As you might imagine, they make lots of colors when used from different angles.
