We then tried to bring fresh fruit ... But being in a car for several hours we don't want to bother with loads of apple cores and orange peels as well as getting all sticky from handling the fruit ...

By now we usually prepare for 3 types of snacks to meet our needs for food as well as for sweets :-) 1: sausage rolls 2: cinnamon rolls 3: prepared fresh fruit

For sausage rolls: grate 3-4 carrots and add them to your first bowl ....

For cinnamon rolls:  Add a spoon of sugar ( I like vanilla so I save them in sugar after use = home made vanilla scented sugar)

Divide it into 8 triangles with a sharp knife. Add a little chunky salsa or ketchup on each piece

Repeat for the next 7 slices ... And for the other half of the dough till you have 16 sausage rolls

Now there's a party going on. Drain from the water and put every thing in plastic bags or plastic containers. And now the oven is warm ...
