Make Halloween Spider Web Cupcake Toppers

3
STEPS
TOOLS

There is nothing difficult about these spider web cupcake toppers! Basically all you need is royal icing, a ziplock bag and baking paper.

Even though these spider web cupcake toppers are easy to make they need some time to set so you need to make them in advance.

This amount of royal icing will be enough for 30-40 cupcakes, depending on the size of your spider webs.

To make it you only need 4 things: icing sugar, egg white, a fork and a bowl. Using a fork, whisk the egg white until it becomes foamy.

Then it is time to add the sugar. Do this gradually. Keep mixing it with the fork until the mixture is smooth and is not thick or too thin.

If you follow this recipe, you should get a perfect consistency. If you did not, there is no need to panic! Simply add more icing sugar (to make it thicker) or lemon juice (to make it thinner).

Place a baking tray/sheet pan (bottom side up) underneath the baking paper. This way you can move it around without breaking the icing.

When cutting a hole in the ziplock bag, start off with a small one. Pipe some lines onto baking paper to see if they are thick enough. If you are happy with the thickness, you are ready to go.

There is no need for a template in order to make these spider web toppers. Unless you are a perfectionist, that is.

Spider webs don’t look the same in real world so don’t worry about their shapes much! It also I Halloween and that allows you to do whatever you like! No one will judge!
