Heat oven to 400

The cake In a mixing bowl add the flour and sugar an mix well, set to side

In a new bowl add 2 sticks of margarine, water and 4 tablespoons cocoa In pan bring to boil

Pour the cocoa mix over the flour mix

Add in the buttermilk, baking soda, vanilla and eggs Mix well

Pour into pan( thin) and bake for 20 minutes

The frosting Add the margarine (just under a cup) to the pan used earlier. Out on low heat

Add in the milk and half and half And the 4 tablespoons cocoa (heaping) Heat on stove until melted but do not boil

Take off the stove and mix in powdered sugar-should be thick. Add more sugar if needed.

Place back on stove to heat jut a little

Pour the frosting over the cake once out of oven, start in the middle and spread it outwards

  • 2.0c Margarine land of lakes
  • 1.0c Water
  • 4.0Tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 1/2c Buttermilk or sour cream
  • 1.0tsp Baking soda
  • 1.0tsp Vanilla
  • 2.0 Eggs
  • 4/5c Margarine
  • 4.0Tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 2.0Tbsp Half and half
  • 2.0Tbsp Milk
  • 1.0lb Powdered sugar
