find a color me bookmark image online or purchase one from a site like etsy and save it. open new document in your word processor and size bookmark to fit length of the page. you can fit 2 per sheet.
print bookmark on Shrink Film.
begin filling in design using Sharpies.
keep in mind colors will darken and intensify when project is shrunk, so stick to lighter colors.
bookmark after it has been colored.
cut out bookmark close to exterior line.
punch hole at one end of bookmark. make sure you use at least a 1/4" punch since hole will shrink considerably.
place bookmark on a baking sheet lined with parchment. then bake according to package directions.
cut a 6" square of yellow cardstock and use Mini 8 punch to punch out an embellished circle.
punched circle.
cut circle in half with trimmer.
you'll only need half the circle for this project.
cut a 6" x 8" piece of black cardstock.
score at 4".
fold in half and press with bone folder to make card base.
cut a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock and adhere to card front using Zip Dry.
adhere yellow circle half about 1" away from left side of card, making sure straight edge faces the fold at left side.
adhere a border sticker along left straight edge of yellow circle piece.
ink stamp using Wicked Black Dye Ink and stamp at right side of yellow circle.
wind some thread over a 6" piece of scrap cardstock a few times; cut at both ends.
fold threads in half and insert folded end in the hole of bookmark.
pull ends through loop to form tassel on bookmark.
finished bookmark.
place a few adhesive dots on back of bookmark.
then attach to left side of card. recipient will be able to remove the bookmark from the card.
finished "gift" card.
