How to make good ol' chocolate chip cookies

Simple recipe - in this one I've cut down on the sugar but if you love sugar just add more :)

Preheat oven to 180 C

I forgot to take a photo (sorry!) but cream (or mix well) the butter and sugar together (I usually half melt the butter to make it easier)

Add the eggs to the butter/sugar mixture and mix well - should look like this. Then add vanilla and mix again

In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients (flour, baking soda and salt)

Add a portion of it to the other bowl (with butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla essence) and mix well. Do this until you mix all dry ingredients in (add portion by portion)

Spoon round balls of cookie dough onto baking paper

Bake in oven for 10 - 15 minutes depending how chewy or uncooked you like them (chewy : brown around edges, not so brown on top)

You can also change the sizes of your cookies depending on preference

  • 225.0g Butter
  • 1/2c White sugar
  • 1/2c Brown sugar
  • 2.0 Eggs
  • 2.0Tbsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1.0tsp Baking soda
  • 1.0tsp Salt
  • 1/4c Flour
  • 2.0c Chocolate chips
