Find pallets and look them over making sure they are made with good planks. Also finding pallets that use 2x4's for cross supports is good because you will need 2x4's as well.
The picture shows the chair front measurements we used. These measurements can be changed to suit your project.
This picture show how we used the 2x4's to reinforce the chair back, seat, and side legs. It also shows the measurements for those 2x4's.
Most pallet wood is not treated, so it's important to use exterior paint and a sealer. We used Olympic Maximum, Deck, Fence & Siding Stain. The color is ‘Aqua Smoke.’ Sealer: marine spar varnish.
For added fun, I stamped the chairs using assorted foam stamps and patio paints. Once all the paint is dry, your chairs are ready for the garden! :)

I love creating art for the garden. I do this by recycling things I find and piecing them together to form garden art sculptures.
