INGREDIENTS
Gather ingredients.
Crack eggs into a bowl and whisk.
Add about 3 splashes of milk then whisk. Yes, I know that isn't a precise measurement. But cooking should be fun, so don't get too stressed over this step. Make it a splash, not a puddle!
Add brown sugar and cinnamon, then whisk.
Add vanilla extract, then whisk.
Place one piece of bread in the mixture, just to coat the bottom.
Flip the bread and do the same for the other side. Don't drown your bread or it will become too soggy.
Heat a burner to medium heat and place the egg soaked bread on a preheated skillet.
After a minute or two, flip the bread. If it's not quite done, you can always continue flipping until both sides brown.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar (or powdered sugar) and add butter and syrup if you like. Serve and enjoy!
- 6.0 Slices of Texas Toast bread
- 3.0 Eggs
- 1.0Tbsp Brown sugar
- 1/2tsp Cinnamon
