combine the yeast, 1/2 C of warm water, and sugar and let poof for ten minutes
mix together 3C of flour, and salt
add the 2c of water and oil
add the yeast mixture and mix for five minutes
add the remaining 3 C of flour
heavily flour a clean surface and knead the bread one to two times
place a towel on top and let it rest for one hour
form your bread however you want
garlic and herbs
bake the bread at 425 for 10 minutes, then switch the heat to 375 and bake for 20 minutes
and there you have it! a delicious loaf of French bread
