Gather all your ingredients, plus an egg yolk separator, a large bowl, and a container to store the eggnog in. Don't skimp on the alcohol! It keeps the eggs in the drink from going bad.
Separate the egg yolks. Save the egg whites for some healthy omelets later, or whatever.
Beat the egg yolks and mix in the sugar. Make it nice and creamy.
Now add in everything else: the booze, the milk and cream, and the salt. Stir everything up.
Finally the hard part: you have to store your mix in the fridge and let it age for at least a week, preferably 3-4 weeks. It's tough to wait, but it'll be worth it!
