INGREDIENTS
Gather all the supplies. Just three!!!
Mix milk, eggs and 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl. Mix till the sugar dissolves.
On medium/low heat add 1/4 cup sugar to a pan.
Stir till sugar liquifies and caramelizes, then pour into desired cups or a large bowl
Coat the base of the cup with caramel, by rotating the cup. Do this quickly, caramel hardens very fast.
Pour the egg mixture into the caramel lined cups.
In a large baking dish, pour 1-2 inches of water and place the cups in it.
Place them in a preheated oven for 45 minutes.
The pudding is done when a toothpick comes out clean when poked. TIP: Cover the cups with foil when put in oven, to avoid crusting.
Cool at room temperature and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Before serving carefully invert the cups on the serving plate.
And enjoy a nutritious dessert!!
TIP: Chill the flan overnight for a rich taste.
