Gather ingredients
Add canola oil, garlic powder, onion powder in the skillet on medium-high heat; stir 2-4 minutes until golden brown
Add water and tomato sauce, stir until boiling
Once boiling, cover skillet, lower to medium-low heat, put cover on and let simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender
Final product should look similar to this!
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 6.5 oz tomato sauce
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1/4 cup canola oil
