STEPS
INGREDIENTS
I didn't specify a quantity of supplies. You just use what's enough for you. I made these for a potluck but you can just as easily make enough for two people.
Boil the eggs and fry the bacon. Make it a bit crispy so it's easier to crumble later.
Shell the eggs. When making for a party, boil extra eggs in case you accidentally destroy or eat some while peeling.
Nude hard boiled eggs.
Halve and disembowel the eggs.
Toss yolks, bacon bits, and sandwich spread into a ziplock bag. Any ready made mayo-based spread should work. I used Heinz.
If necessary, add a little milk, mayo or olive/grapeseed oil to moisten the mix so it's easier to pipe.
Squeeze as much air as you can out of the bag before sealing it. Knead the contents until well-mixed.
This is what it should look like. Use a flat blunt object like the flat side of a chopstick to push the mixture to the bottom of the bag.
Snip off a corner. Remember, you can always make the hole bigger but you can't make it smaller.
Point the nozzle at the bottom of the crater and start piping.
Done! Serve with a sprinkle of paprika or topping of your choice. These can be made a few hours ahead and refrigerated until its time to eat.
