Use your measuring tape to measure the elastic so it is the circumference of your wrist plus 2-3 inches.

I have a fairly small wrist so I measured out 9.5 or 10 inches. It doesn't have to be perfect. The first on I made was tiny so I learned by trial and error!

Wrap it around your wrist and make the ends match up. Then take it off your wrist, wrap around a finger and fold ends around each other. This is your knot.

Now take your match and light it. I did it over the sink so I could easily put out the match when done.

You just want to slightly meld the ends do that they don't fray over time.

I made five or so white ones because that is the only color I had. I encourage you to use any color! Pink, brown, green, purple, gold, even sparkles! I wonder if they make lace elastic.....
