Tissue Box Empty Tomb Craft
Rectangle box with small opening
Box with small opening. Only tear away half of the perforated opening. Leave the other half attached for the floor. Paint it grey or brown.
Stick to move the stone back-and-forth
Wooden dowel or popsicle sticks taped together
You'll need a long stick. It will attach to the stone to move it back-and-forth in front of the opening. Best to use thin wooden dowel. But 2 taped popsicle sticks or a straw will do. Paint it also.
Assembly of the tomb and stone
Colored popsicle sticks or plain ones
Popsicle sticks for the cross. Buy colored ones or let kids have fun painting / decorating their own. (This horizontal stick is cut and glued in the back so it's more cross shaped vs. square shaped.)
Cut circle bigger than box opening
Use the half-circle piece torn off the tissue box to estimate the size of circle used for the "stone." This circle is 4 3/4 inches, slightly larger than a CD.
Paint the box grey or brown. If you don't have gray paper for the stone, use white paper, or a paper-plate, or cardboard and paint it.
The angel
Clothespin for the angel. Paint white. Decorate with glitter glue, colored markers, feathers... Use a pipe cleaner wrapped around the body for arms. Gold pipe cleaner for the halo, glued to the back.

Stick and stone assembly
Poke a hole through the right side of the box. Put it as close as possible to the front face. Make the hole the size of your stick. Run the stick through the hole into the interior of the box.
Tape the stick to the back of the circle that is used for the stone. But tape the edge of the stick to the far left edge of the circle so that the stick goes all the way across the back of the circle.
Wrap a pipe cleaner around the body to form arms and hands
Attach a toothpick with tape to the back of the "He is Risen!" sign. Wrap the end of the pipe cleaner "arms" to form a "hand" around the toothpick.
Tape the cross to the back of the box. Or cut a slit in the top and insert it. Kids can play with their angel. Make other Bible characters, like Jesus, Mary, Peter. Fold little cloths for the linens.
