How to make crochet flip flop straps part 3

Here if the final part of making our crochet baby flip flops. Making the straps.

Find the middle stitch at bottom of the sole. Put a scrap yarn marker in it. Now count up 7 stitches on right side and put scrap yarn marker in 7th stitch and repeat for the left side

Starting in right side Slip stitch into the 7th stitch and then do a single crochet into same stitch

In next 2 stitches do a single crochet

The 3 completed single crochet

Now turn the sole around so bottom is facing you and do a single crochet into the first top stitch then do a half double crochet, half double crochet and fasten off leave enough length to see in end

Fasten off and remove red stitch marker

Sewing in tail

Right side strap Complete with tail sewn in

Now move over to left side. Take tan and slip stitch into the 7th stitch where the red yarn marker is and then do a single crochet into same 7th stitch where you made the slip stitch

Do a single crochet in next 2 stitches

Turn and do a single chain and ten a single crochet in same stitch as chain

Do a half double crochet in the next 2 stitches and then turn

Chain 2.

Do a Double crochet ( not a half) in same stitch as where you just chained 2

Then do a half double crochet in next stitch and then a slip stitch in the next stitch

The slip stitch. DO NOT CUT and FASTEN OFF YARN. We keep going from here out for the rest of the straps

Now CHAIN 12

Now look for the middle centre at the top part of sole ( where toes go) now we slip stitch through BOTH soles

You will see it pulls the bottom up a bit

Pull yarn through and finish the slip stitch

Now we will work our way back up the chain we just made for 3 STITCHES only

Go into each stitch for 3 stitches and do a slip stitch into each one

This creates the toe piece

Chain 9

Slip stitch the 9 you just chairs to the first stitch of the right strap

Do a slip stitch into the next 2 stitches

Now chain 12. This is going to create our back strap

Once you chained 12 slip stitch it into the 1st stitch of the left strap.

Now do 2 slip stitches into the next 2 stitches. DO NOT CUT YARN and FASTEN OFF

We are now going to do a half double crochet into each chain stitch

We will stop one stitch before the toe piece

Do a half double crochet 2 together ( google or you tube if needed to learn stitch) then keep going doing the half double crochet in the chain up the other side. Then slip stitch into the 3 stitches

Once you done the 3 slip stitches on the strap we will do a single Crochet in each stitch of the back strap

Once you reach the left side of the strap slip stitch it into the first stitch.

NOW we can fasten off and cut yarn. Leave a log enough tail to be able to sew in the tails.

Go around and sew in a tails with your yarn needle

You have no completed your first flip flop WELL DONE.!!!!

Repeat for the other flip flop But start on the left side. So instead if starting with the single strap on the right like this one do it on the left side and fasten off. The. Start the big part of
