STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Wash & cut potatoes into fours. Leave the skin on. Add water to pot & boil til tender. I used my pressure cooker so the potatoes were done in about 15 minutes.
Drain water & place potatoes into bowl. I used my masher to break up the potatoes before the next step.
I used my standing mixer to blend for a creamier texture. Hand mixers work just as well.
Heat up milk & butter until butter melts. I only drink soy milk & vanilla was all I had in the fridge. Didn't change the taste!
Heating the milk & butter is the secret to making the potatoes creamy. Shhhh... ;)
While blender is on low, slowly pour in milk & butter mixture. Don't forget to also add in the sour cream while blending!
Add salt & pepper to taste & then enjoy creamy red mashed potatoes! Add garlic seasoning or bacon & shredded cheddar cheese as toppings for restaurant style potatoes! Thanks for viewing!
