First,  you need to gather your supplies, such as your ingredients and your mixing bowls.

Next you have to measure out your dry ingredients; flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. For all those out there with a sweet tooth, it never hurts to add some extra sugar!

After you have mixed all your dry ingredients put that aside. Find a big bowl to mix your wet ingredients in, you are eventually going to be mixing it all together both wet and dry.

Melt your 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave for about 2 minutes. When you take it out of the microwave it will be hot so be cautious of that.

Add your egg to the butter. Be sure not to get the shell in the bowl, the pancakes will not turn out the way you want if that happens!

In order to mix the batter you need a rubber spatula and a whisk. If you don't have either a fork or mixing spoon will do.
