INGREDIENTS
Gather your supplies and wash your apples. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Core each apple
Slice the apple such that the hole from the core is in the center of each slice
Combine sugar and cinnamon
Dip each face of the apple slices to coat in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Place slices on baking sheet lined in parchment paper.
The apples start to "sweat" since sugar (like salt) extracts moisture. That’s good because you want the apples as dry as possible. Use a paper towel to blot the moisture from both sides of the slices.
Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour then flip the slices over and bake for another hour. The slices should be crispy, but if they need more time, turn off the oven and leave the chips inside as it cools.
