STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Pre- heat the oven to around 160oc Line your baking tray with grease-proof paper
The ingrediants I used βΊοΈ
Add all ingrediants into your mixing bowl
Start to knead together with your hands until you get a moist lump of dough. π‘ dont knead too much as the mixture can start to go dry and hard to roll
Once your mixture is ready, put it in the fridge for 30 minutes β°
After your 30 minute break, get your board and rolling pin ready. π‘ sprinkle a tiny bit of flour on top of your board and pin to keep your dough from sticking
Roll out you dough and start to cut out your cookie shapes π π‘ I do bits at a time so i get an even roll
Place your cut outs evenly onto a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper
Place your shortbread in the middle of the oven for 13 minutes π‘if you overcook shortbread it can become dry and crunchy so keep checking on it π
Once they are cooked to how you want them, place them on a cooling rack so that they are cool enough for you to decorate once you have made your icing
Prepare any type of icing/decorations to suit you. I have gone for icing sugar with a few drops of warm water, along with some food colouring and a few extra add ons π
I am yet to get to grips with my decoration skills! But this is what I came up with βοΈπ
I hope they taste good! π Holly β€οΈ
