STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Put block of cream cheese out to warm up a bit while you're starting on the Oreos. Don't get it out too early.
Put the whole package of Oreos in a double plastic bag.
Smash them!
Pour the crushed Oreos into a large mixing bowl.
Wash your hands.
Add the block of cream cheese.
Mix!
Once it is thoroughly mixed, roll it into a ball.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Remove from refrigerator.
Take a chunk of the large Oreo ball...
And roll it into a small ball.
Repeat.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate.
Fill a large sauce pan about 1/3 full of water.
Put a smaller empty saucepan inside.
Allow water to simmer.
Add candy coating.
Stir occasionally.
Cover cookie sheets with aluminum foil.
Cover balls with candy coating.
Place truffles on cookie sheet.
Smooth candy coating. (Back one is smoothed, front one is not.)
Decorate if you wish (red and green have chocolate drizzled on them; chocolate are plain). Enjoy! These were gone about 15 minutes after I got to the Christmas party!
