Make Chocolate Lipbalm!

STEPS
TOOLS

Before we begin, I would like to clarify on the measurements I gave. These are all adjustable (read notes) Everyone has their own preferences so feel free to tweak it to suit your needs. :) Have fun!

Boil water and put it in a larger bowl/heat proof container. In a second smaller glass bowl, put in beeswax (You can also use a microwave to melt.) **do not put it in the microwave for too long.

Once beeswax is melted, add in your desired oil. Then add in the unsweetened cholate (you can use either cocoa powder or baking chocolate). Stir until all ingredients have melted completely.

We add honey for it to taste good, but honey also does wonders on the skin and it is used in a lot of cosmetic items today. You can choose to add or not.

*optional: you can add in a few drops of vanilla essential oil if you like. Or whatever blend you'd like. I can suggest peppermint.

Be careful though, if you're not sure how it'd turn out, try some in a separate container and see if you like it or not so you won't risk ruining eveything if you don't.

*optional: you can add a few drops of vit. E oil for extra moisture and also as a preservative. Although, if you plan to use your lipbalm immediately, you can skip this step.

Work quickly as it will harden almost immediately, and transfer the liquid mixture into your desired containers. NOTE: Make sure your containers are CLEAN! You don't want to contaminate your lipbalm

NOTE: The beeswax-oil ratio is adjustable according to your preferences. If you like a more solid balm, add more wax. If you opt for a creamier one, add less.

NOTE: What I like to do is drip a little bit of the still-liquid mixture onto my finger and blow on it a bit for it to solidify. From here, you can check the spreadability of your balm.

NOTE: if the drop on your finger doesn't set or isn't hard enough for you, add in some more wax and try again. If it becomes too hard, add some more oil to your mixture.

Lastly, enjoy your yummy, all natural lipbalm! :) I hope you like it! Comment your thoughts! I'd love to hear from you!
