I use my deep fryer  but you can use a pan with oil until they are golden crispy

Add water to blender, tomato, and chiles. If you are not a fan of spicy food just add the California chile and skip the Arbol chile.

Add liquid to pan, let it boil.

Add 2 tablespoons of  chicken bouillon. (Or more or less to taste)

Mix with liquid mixture. I like mine a little crispy so I usually take them out as soon as everything is mixed. If you like it a little softer leave on stove a little longer.

Plate, I like mine with cotija cheese and a little sour cream. You can add onion if you like. U can add mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese put in microwave and heat 30 secs to melt the cheese. Enjoy!

  • 1/2 California chile
  • 5.0 Chile Arbol (more or less)
  • 2.0tsp Chicken bouillon
  • 1.0c Water
  • Oil
  • Cotija cheese, fresh cheese, or any melting cheese
  • Sour cream (optional)
  • Onion (optional)
