Making healthy treats for your dog doesn't get easier than this!

Set oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit or 100 degrees Celsius.

Line your baking trays with baking paper.

Clean off the skin and fat from the chicken breast.

Lay the chicken breast flat on the cutting board and slice across to you get flat pieces around 1/8 inch thick. A little thicker is okay. I find it easier to slice if the meat is semi frozen.

Put into the oven and bake for around 2 hours. Depending on how thick your slices are it may take less time or longer. You can start checking neurotically at the one and a half hour mark.

Ideally you'll want something that is hard but not completely dry. It has a bit of give when you bend it. If it snaps off or crumbles, it's been in the oven too long. I haven't perfected it myself.

If you're really particular, you can go in somewhere between the 1 hour or 1.5 hour mark and flip all your pieces over for even drying.

The pieces shrink significantly in the oven. This is what it should look like when it's done.

Allow to cool on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container or ziplock bag in the fridge.

Feed to dog when feeling indulgent or as a lure.
