Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place butter in casserole dish.
Place dish in oven to melt butter.
Shred chicken (or used canned chicken as a shortcut!)
Remove pan from oven when butter is melted.
Spread chicken on top of butter.
Sprinkle with sage, salt and pepper.
In a separate bowl, mix Bisquick with milk.
Slowly pour mix on top of chicken. Do NOT stir! Keep layers, not a mixture.
It will look a bit odd. That's OK!
In another bowl, whisk cream of chicken soup, chicken stock and chicken granules.
Pour soup mixture over chicken and dumplings.
It will look like this. Do NOT stir! The dumplings will rise to the top when baked.
Place dish in the oven and bake, uncovered for 30-45 minutes, until top starts to brown.
Remove casserole from oven.
Serve and enjoy!

- 2.0 Boneless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 2.0tsp Dried sage
- Salt and pepper
- 2.0c Bisquick baking mix
- 2.0c Milk
- 2.0c Chicken stock
- 1.0 Can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 3.0tsp Chicken granules
