INGREDIENTS
Gather all your ingredients!! It's always best to have them all out prior to prepping so you don't forget anything.
Sift together 2c flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 salt and set aside
Cream together 3/4 c melted butter, 1 c brown sugar, 1/2 c white sugar
Beat in 1 tbsp vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp almond extract, 1 egg and 1 egg yolk until creamy!! Mmm!!!
Mix in flour mixture with wet ingredients.. Don't over blend it! Just until the mixtures have incorporated.
Add chocolate chips and mix! Go ahead, use your clean hands!
Roll or scoop into desired size and bake at 325F for 12-17 minutes depending on the size of your cookies. These little ones bake in about 12 mins.
When done, remove from oven and let cool on rack (I took these out too early... I'd let it brown up around the edges a bit longer next time but be careful! Too brown and they're burnt.) Enjoy!!!
You can roll leftover cookie dough into logs and freeze for easy slicing and baking when the cravings hit. Use parchment paper or saran wrap and wrap it up tight!
