STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Mix altogether: 1 1/2cups of flour, 1/2 tbsp of instant yeast, 1/2 tsp of salt, 2 tbsp of sugar. Note: if you dont like yeast flavor, just add in 1 tsp of instant yeast ad let it double over 2-3 hours
Gradually add in 1/2 cup of warm water until you get smooth and slightly sticky dough. If you happen dont have instant yeast and use the dried one, jump to next guide
if you use dry yeast, combined 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1/2 tbsp of dry yeast, 1tbsp of warm water and 1 tbsp of sugar. Let it rest for 15 mnts. After 15 mnts, add in 1/2 tsp of salt
Rub your fingers with olive oil and knead the dough for about 4-5 mnts. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap, put in warm place and allow to double its size about 45 mnts
Now make the cilantro butter spread by add in finely chopped 2 cups of cilantro, 7 tbsp of unsalted butter, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of ground cumin and 1 1/2 tbsp of garlic powder
You can make ahead the butter spread and put it in freezer for future used
Grease your baking pan or on your baking paper with olive oil
Grated 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese
After 45 mnts, press the dough to release the air and divide the dough into two equal portion
If you like your buns thickier, no need to divide it though ;)
Transfer to a floured surface and use your rolling pin and start to roll into rough rectagle about 1cm or 1/2 inch thickness. Add more flour for dusting
Spread the cilantro butter evenly, sprinkle with grated cheese and ground paprica. You can also sprinkle with ground black pepper for variation though ;)
Roll up dough and pinch seam to seal
Cut into 6 equal portion. Place the rolls with the cut side up in the greased pan. Allow to rise for another 20 mnts. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180C or 356F
You can add more grated cheese just before these lil cuties going into the oven. Bake for about 20 mnts or until brownie
Take these cuties out, let them cool down a bir on a wire rack. Serve warm with a cup of herb tea :) enjoy :)
