STEPS
TOOLS
So you're basic supplies are a paintbrush (get a thick one but not the kind you paint walls with), and chalkboard with a standard mug make sure it's plain and yes they can be different colors
Now tape the part that you don't want to paint, (or you can paint the whole mug), but if you just want to paint the middle, put one stand of masking tape on the top, On the button
Begin painting, and try to go in one direction instead of painting all over the place, the masking tape is so that you don't get paint on the part you don't want painted
Once the mug has dried do a second layer of paint (yes there is enough paint trust me)
Now once the second layer is dried wait about 8 hours to put the mug in the oven
and yes the oven you bake it on 350 for 10-15 mins, you put it in a pan or a baking sheet this will make the mug washable, CAUTION MUGS ARE HOT!
Now enjoy your chalkboard mug, you can write on it completely now but if you'd like to edit the part you messed up a bit, take a knife and scrape the part you don't want
By the way, not my idea I got it from a blog, it is a lot of work but it's worth it, good gift & unique!
