Here are your ingredients. This take less than 5 minutes and makes your skin feel wonderful! It's not oily like many of the other homemade scrubs I have tried.
We will ned to measure out 1cup of both the brownulated sugar and the white sugar.
For those of you who don't know about brownulated sugar here is a close up. You can find it in the baking aisle and it is made by domino. It is much less sticky than normal brown sugar.
Here is my 1 cup brownulated sugar in a bowl.
I added the 1 cup white sugar.
Next, add one teaspoon of cinnamon.
We will be using chai tea bags but if you have other teas you want to try go ahead. You can really play around with this recipe.
Simply clip the top of the tea bags and pour the loose contents into the bowl.
Add 1 teaspoon of honey.
Next, add one teaspoon of vanilla.
This is the oil I use in my scrubs. It is light and doesn't leave me feeling greasy or slimy. Make sure to be aware of buying the fragrance free vs. the scented version! I made that mistake once. :)
Pour 2/3 of a cup of oil into the bowl.
Use your spatula to mix all the goodness together.
Here is what it will look like. You can add more oil if you like but you really dot need to much because of it's light texture. A little goes a long way. This has the consistency of damp sand.
You are done! I put mine into decorative jars for gifts but if you are keeping it all for yourself I would suggest placing it into a dark tinted container as it will keep longer. Hope you enjoy it!
