STEPS
INGREDIENTS
SAFETY FIRST!!! wash your hands and cover all hair that could get in the food
Measure out all your ingredients
Preheat your oven to 350°
In a large bowl, pour the cake mix, eggs, olive oil and water
Mix the ingredients until everything is smooth and there is no powder visible in the bowl
Spray a 9 by 13 inch pan with vegetable / canola oil and pour the cake mix in the pan
Bake the cake for 26-31 minutes
Use a toothpick and poke the cake to see if it is done. If the cake sticks to the toothpick, bake the cake for a few more minutes until the toothpick comes out clean
Wait for the cake to cool for AT LEAST 30 minutes. In a large bowl, crumble the cake into the smallest pieces possible. Make sure that the entire cake is evenly smashed and there are no large chunks
Scoop half of the frosting into the cake crumbs and mix it until the cake is evenly coated with frosting (IMPORTANT: make sure the cake is cooled down COMPLETELY or else the frosting will melt!!)
This is what the cake crumbs should look like after the frosting is mixed
Roll the cake into ping pong size balls. You can either free hand it or use a cookie scooper to get more consistent results. Freeze the cake balls for about an hour
To melt the candy bark, start by bringing water to a boil
Place a bowl over the pan of water, then place the candy bark into the bowl until it is completely melted. Make sure to bring the heat down to low
Dip a lollipop stick into the chocolate and put it into the cake ball. Allow the chocolate to cool for 5-10 minutes
Using a spoon, pour chocolate all over the cake pop. Be careful to not pour too much or else the cake will fall off the stick
Tap off the excess chocolate back into the bowl
Allow the chocolate to cool for a few minutes and ENJOY : ) (IMPORTANT NOTE: we used a styrofoam ring to place the cake pops so the chocolate will evenly coat the cake pop)
