INGREDIENTS
First separate the eggs and mix the egg whites with 0.5 cup of sugar till soft picks
Set it aside, and mix the yolks with sugar until pale
Add the melted butter and continue mixing
Add the milk
Now mix the cream with the soda and as it starts to rise add to the batter
Carefully fold the whites and yolks
Sieved in the flour and mix until no lamps
Pour the batter evenly throughout baking sheet and bake at 350c for 30 minute
Meanwhile prepare your gelatin, pour the hot water into it and let it stay for 45 minute
This is the ready sponge, smells amazing πππππ
Now mix together all the ingredients for the frosting except the butter and put on a very low heat, mix gently until it starts to boil and gets thick
Let it cool completely, and pass to the ganache, pour all the ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil, add the butter, stir ana let it cool down too
Look how shiny it is
Now put the gelatine into a very slow heat and stir constantly until it all dissolves into the water, never boil the water otherwise the gelatine will not work
Set it aside and cream the butter
Gradually add the readymade cream and continue beating until it starts to get pale
Now slowly add the gelatine and the vanilla
I have also added some good quality brandy for a good flavour but you can easily omit it
This is the complete version of the frosting, shinyyyβ¨β¨β¨
Spread the cream evenly throughout the sponge
Then spread the ganache, and let it cool into the fridge for several hours
