INGREDIENTS
Boil an inch of water Add pepper (5-6 good shakes)
Cut four 1/3 inch strips (3 in long) of smoked "ham pieces for seasoning" and 1 piece of smoked "hog jaw" that is twice as big as one of the strips. Boil meat in the pepper for 20min

Shred 1/2 head of cabbage like this and wash
These are the seasons you need. Sugar not shown here.
At about a half tablespoon of California garlic
And a big tablespoon of granulated onion
Add a little salt, you can always add some later. It's a small teaspoon of salt
Add a 2/3 teaspoon of sugar
And all the seasons and cook for 10 minutes
Dump in cabbage, put on lid, medium heat, light boil under cabbage to create steam.
After 6 min stir as needed. Check every 5 min till it's done the way you like. It should be done in 15 min. Taste and add salt till you like the taste. Turn off heat and let it sit on the stove.
