How to make buttery colorful spritz christmas cookies
These little buttery cookies add color to my Christmas Cookie plate. Slighty crunchy outside, soft inside they melt in your mouth. Recipe makes 140-180 small bite-size cookies.

This cookie press has worked great for me, came with several design disks, and cleans up easily. NOTE: I put small piece of duct tape in centers of 2 disks (for wreath & poinsettia).
Be sure to use real BUTTER. I use 4 food colors.
Almond and vanilla extract make them taste DELICIOUS!
Cream butter and sugar till fluffy. Beat in eggs Stir in salt, almond, and vanilla. Stir in flour.
Remove dough. Divide into 8 equal parts and color as follows: 1/8 Blue, 2/8 Red, 2/8 Yellow, 3/8 Green.
I'm generous with the color. Can't help it... I'm an artist.
I wrap each color to prevent drying out as I make the cookies.
We're ready to make Spritz!
Load Cookie Pro and screw on disk & end.
A snippet of yellow on each tree for a star...
Red bows on each wreath...
Roll small green centers for each poinsettia.
Yellow stars... And I can't leave out something something colored blue...
With a small amount left of each color, it's fun to make some in rainbow colors...
Bake 400° 8 minutes till set but not brown.
I confess I nearly ruined the batch having fun making this guide, forgetting the eggs which I had to beat into each color. They turned out as you can see but a little different. Normally makes 180.
They're as tasty as they are colorful!
