Cut the potato across but not all the way. Insert butter on each slit. Then add your salt and pepper on top. Then bake it at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Wrap it with foil to seal the moisture.
Then add the shredded cheese on top. Put it back in the oven for about 15 minutes. This time don't close the foil so you can get the cheese crispy on top and melted inside.
