STEPS
INGREDIENTS
All ingredients are based on how many people and how spicy you like your chicken
Wash and cut your chicken into cubes
Add 3 tsp of butter chicken spice mix you can find this from indian store
Now add 3 tbs yogurt based on how much chicken you have I added 2 tbs
Now mix away and put in fridge for 5-6 hours let it marinate you can do this the night before also
Cut 3 tomatoes and 2 onions into small dice this is all based on 4 people
Now heat your pot and add bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise, and cumin
Add your onions and let them brown on a medium temp
Once they have browned add your tomatoes and turmeric like 1/2 tsp and 1 tsp salt
Add red chili according to your taste
I do fresh coriander at home 2 tbs
Dry methi you can find in indian grocery
Half butter stick and 2 tbs garlic and 2 tbs ginger this is based on my taste you can add less or more also a pinch of Gharam masala
Now slightly grind it with a hand machine
Will look like this place back on stove low temp
Now put your marinated chicken into the sauce
And let cook for 2 hours while stirring every 30 mins then add 1/2 of light or heavy cream
Will look like this nice , spicy and buttery yum yum my fav indian dish
Enjoy with white / brown rice , naan / bread/ or chappati
