Lighter materials are better for hair accessories whilst heavier ones are better for brooches.

Cut cloth in squares. Size varies from how big or how small you want it to be.

Fold in half.

Stitch loose stitches as shown on photo, leave enough thread at both ends to pull together.

"Scrunch" up. You can do several of them separate or leave needle on the thread and do them together.

This one was done with single thread so no need to stitch them together :)

Sew button to center or....

Use a tac.

Finish off by securing a bobby pin, brooch pin or a hair clip.
