STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Turn on tve oven at 200 C.
To a bowl add the thawed blueberries.
Lightly mash the blueberries. However, before doing so make sure not to wear any delicate clothing, blueberry stains are keepers.
When mashed, set aside for a minute.
Mix oatmeal cores with sunflower seeds.
I used pumpkin seeds but I recommend sunflower seeds.
Add the thawed blueberries and stir.
Add the egg whites..
..as well as the chia seeds and stir again. Soak 5-10 min.
Sprinkle on a baking tray (no parchment paper).
If you want to add sweetener this when you do it. It's ok to use more honey than listed 😀
The granola needs to bake at least 20 minutes. I checked mine every 7 minutes.
After the first 7 min. use a spatula to move around the granola pieces. A firm hand is needed. Bake another 7 min. before repeating the process.
All in all keep in the oven 20-30 min. The longer time in the oven the crunchier granola but watch out so it doesn't burn!
When done use the spatula again to remove the granola chunks from the baking tray. Let cool.
Move the granola chunks to a container. Add the dried blueberries.
Mix.
Enjoy the granola with plain yogurt and fresh fruit or eat it as a snack.
