Everything you'll need to create your mini blackboard coaster.
Start by peeling the glossy surface off the old mat.
Use a knife to get the really tough bits
There may be a layer of paper left on the mat, you can leave this as it will give a nice a nice rough surface for the paint to stick to.
Add the first coat of paint.
Use a sheet of paper beneath the mat to protect your work surface.
There will be quite a lot of overlap if you rush like we did...
Leave the mats to dry
Add a second coat of paint to the mats
Leave to dry a second time
The finished product can be tiny notice boards...
