A unique healthier brownie for the health nut, vegan, gluten-free people in your life.. Or if you just want to surprise people-they might not believe there are actually beans in there! Hope you enjoy!
Drain your can of black beans and rinse very well! More likely than not they have salt in them, so make sure you give them a good rinse!
Strain and set aside for now. Keep in mind canned beans are already cooked; so if you have black beans not from a can make sure you boil them until cooked and easily "mash-able"
Good cocoa powder-2 tablespoons of it!
1/2 cup quick cooking oats--perhaps you may replace with almond flower, or some type of meal. Let me know if you did.
Everything is going into my nutri bullet machine!
Add the agave or maple syrup and stevia. I tried honey this time :)
Blend, blend, blend until smooth! Add the milk to smoothen out the paste a bit.
Doesn't that look lovely? Lol. I know it doesn't look appetizing here but don't worry-we will bake up these bad boys and you won't even remember this stage..
Stir in some chocolate. Mine is bittersweet.
Spoon them into cupcake molds for easy clean brownies.. If not, the traditional brownie is baked in a square pan, perhaps 8x8. Make sure you add parchment paper or grease it a bit.
Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes.
Now could you ever believe there are black beans in this?
Especially if you put some powdered sugar on top. These brownies are a healthier alternative-no eggs, no gluten, completely vegan..& if you're not too strict, regular milk is fine. Try it out-enjoy!
