500g dried broad beans
Soak 500g of dried broad beans in water for 12 hours
Prepare some fresh parsley
Chop the parsley
Prepare approximately 5 cloves of garlic. You may choose to add or reduce the amount depending on your likings
Boil the beans in water and some salt until they become soft. This will take around 20-30 minutes
Put the beans, parsley and garlic in the mincer
Pass the mixture through the mincer for the second time using a narrower grinding hole plate
Add vegetable oil until the mixture becomes softer
Add a tablespoon of red pepper paste. Mix everything well
Serve with some traditional maltese bread with tomato spread and traditional maltese water crackers 'galletti'
