This was my first cookbook, I received it when I was eight years old. I have had so much fun cooking with it over the years. Time and again I've reached for it, looking for inspiration in the kitchen.
Now, Big Bad Wolf Brownies are the BEST brownies I've ever tasted. They are so rich and moist and chocolaty. They are so simple to make and from scratch!
All the supplies you will need to bake big bad wolf brownies. The complete list is in the supplies tab below.
You'll need a medium saucepan, a wooden spoon and a 9x9x2 baking pan.
Grease your baking pan and set the oven to 180c/350f.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a large saucepan over low heat.
Halfway there :) Stir the chocolate and butter occasionally to keep it from burning to bottom.
Once the chocolate and butter have melted completely, remove the saucepan from heat.
Stir in your sugar, flower, baking powder, vanilla and nuts.
Add your eggs and beat well until everything is mixed and the batter is smooth. (You can use an egg beater, but I find the wooden spoon works too)
See? Smooth and glossy.
Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for 30 min. (Higher altitudes have slightly longer cook times, I usually leave mine in for 38-40 min.)
Once cooked, remove the pan from the oven and place on a rack. When brownies are cool, cut into squares. Makes about 16 pieces. And the best part? You've only dirtied 1pot, 1 pan and a wooden spoon :D
