How to make beef w/ onions, (bistec guisado, encebollado)

Who likes an overcooked, dry piece of beef. I sure don't. This dish will surely be appeasing. This is a melt in your mouth tenderized beef. Enjoy mi gente.☺☺


Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • For the crust:
  • 1.0c All-purpose flour
  • 0.0c Granulated sugar
  • 0.0c Confectioners' sugar
  • 2.0tsp Chopped rosemary
  • 1.0tsp Lemon zest
  • 1.0tsp Salt
  • 12.0Tbsp Unsalted butter
  • For the filling:
  • 6.0 Large eggs
  • 2.0c Granulated sugar
  • 1.0Tbsp Lemon zest
  • 1.0c Freshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1.0c All-purpose flour
  • 1.0tsp Vanilla extract
  • Confectioners' sugar
